I like having exposure to different areas of the market: SCHD for dividend-paying companies, AVUV for small cap value and VXUS for international diversification, to reduce dependence on the same handful of megacap tech companies.
Over the long run, international ETFs just underperform. In 2025 international did beat the S&P 500, as VXUS did, but I have to be fair about that.
