Opinion Alpha is a research site about public stock opinions from finance influencers. This policy explains what we store about you when you use it, and why.
What we collect
Account: your email address, a display name and your password (stored only as a hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google; we never see your Google password.
Settings you choose: opinion preferences, time zone, language and membership status.
What you send us: reports about incorrect opinions and influencer suggestions.
Usage: a daily count of how many pages each signed-in account reads, used to prevent scraping and abuse. Your IP address is used briefly for rate limiting and is not stored.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers your theme, language and dismissed announcements locally; these never leave your device.
Who processes your data
Neon (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting and email routing), Bird (sending verification emails) and Google (only if you choose Google sign-in). They process data on our behalf to run the service.
Your choices
You can change your settings in your account at any time. To get a copy of your data or delete your account, email support@opinionalpha.app; we will handle it within 30 days.
