Opinion Alpha in your AI assistant (MCP)
Pro members can now use Opinion Alpha from inside their AI assistant. Connect it once, then ask in plain language: "What are influencers saying about NVDA this week?", "How has Jukan's track record been over the last year?", "Who called MU best?" The assistant reads the same data as the site, with the Pro view, and every answer can cite the original video or post.
It works through MCP, the open standard that Claude, ChatGPT and a growing list of assistants use to connect to outside tools. There is nothing to install: you add one address, sign in to Opinion Alpha, and the assistant takes it from there.
What you need
- An Opinion Alpha account on the Pro plan (pricing). The connection is part of Pro.
- An assistant that supports MCP connectors with sign-in: Claude (web, desktop or mobile), ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and others.
The server address is the same everywhere:
https://api.opinionalpha.app/mcp
Connect it
Claude. Open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, give it a name (say, Opinion Alpha) and paste the address above. Save, then click Connect.
ChatGPT. Open Settings → Connectors (developer mode has to be on), choose Create, and enter the name and the address. Then connect it.
Other assistants. Anywhere you can add an MCP server by URL, use the address above with OAuth sign-in (no API key).
Whichever you use, the assistant opens a browser window on opinionalpha.app. Sign in if you are not already, and you land on a short approval page that says what the app will be able to do: read Opinion Alpha's opinion data and performance figures as you, and suggest influencers. Nothing else: it cannot change your account. Approve, and the window closes.
That is the whole setup. From then on the assistant can use Opinion Alpha whenever a question calls for it.
What you can ask
The connection gives the assistant a small set of tools, and it picks the right ones for your question:
- A stock: the latest opinions on it, bullish versus bearish, who has called it best, and daily prices to set the calls against.
- An influencer: their profile, their latest calls, and their simulated performance (return, excess over SPY, win rate, drawdown) over any period.
- The leaderboard: influencers ranked by simulated return for a strategy and period.
- A day: how many opinions came in, the bullish/bearish split and the most-discussed stocks.
- The transcripts: full-text search across everything the tracked influencers said in their videos and posts, for topics beyond individual stocks: sectors, indexes, rates, macro.
- Suggesting an influencer: give it a YouTube channel or X profile link and, as a Pro member, the account is checked and added right away (up to five a day).
Two ready-made prompts come with it, What influencers say about a stock and Influencer check-up, which your assistant lists alongside its other prompts.
Some questions to start with:
- "Brief me on TSLA: what have influencers said in the last two weeks, and how do their calls on it usually turn out?"
- "Compare the last 3 months of 美投讲美股 and Let's Talk Money: who has the better win rate, and on which stocks?"
- "Which stocks were most discussed yesterday, and did anyone turn bearish?"
- "Find where anyone talked about the semiconductor index recently."
Good to know
- Same data, same rules. The assistant sees exactly what you see on the site: approved opinions with sources, and simulated performance. Simulations follow public calls; they are not anyone's real returns, and none of it is investment advice.
- Pro only. The connection is checked on every request, so it works while your Pro plan is active.
- Private. Your assistant's requests are tied to your account and counted like your reads on the site. Nothing you ask is shared with influencers or other members.
- Disconnect any time. Remove the connector in your assistant's settings; access ends with it.
If something does not connect, write to support@opinionalpha.app with the assistant you use and what you saw.
